  Too pretentious for me. It was empty when I walked in. I tried to order eggs at the counter and I was instructed to sit down. I wanted to see a menu but I couldn't until I was seated. After a few minutes of waiting I went back up to the counter to order and did the same to pay when I was done. In the end two eggs and a handful of greens cost me nine dollars. This is why people stay local and organic food is on affordable

  I have never actually sat down to eat here, but the ambiance is especially attractive on a nice sunny day with its outside seating option. For takeout it is a bit slow for a deli sandwich. However, it boasts a selection of freshly made sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups and pastries with a bistro feel to it. It's a bit pricey but if you are into that type of place, you won't complain.

  Best iced coffee I've had in a while. Their simple syrup has a small hint of lavender or other floral flavor.

  I love Market Table for brunch, lunch or dinner. Lovely, sophisticated, carefully cooked food. Best biscuits north of the Mason-Dixon Line. Dinner always classic but innovative: oxtail pasta sauce, pear salad with local blue cheese, osso buco. Perfect burger! Heavenly desserts -- homemade ice cream and baked Alaska.
